Tutorial: Free Unlimited Hotspot Tutorial
NOTES:

- Download the app from the download below, then follow one of these steps.
- This Does Not need root permissions.
- Dont have Hotspot with your plan?
This will unlock it.
- The APNs are fully editable, and survive multiple reboots.
- IT WILL USE YOUR DATA. If you have unlimited data then your ok.
- Tested and working great on Samsung galaxy S8 and S8+ (with 8.0 firmware)
- PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT IF IT WORKS AND YOUR DEVICE TYPE.
- DOES NOT work on Android 9.0 firmware.

FOR SPRINT
1.) Dial ##27263#
2.) Click yes
> Phone will auto-reboot<
If phone doesn't boot, then press & hold power button. As you would to boot up.
2.) Open the app and do a search for LTE
3.) Go to com.test.LTEFunctionality
4.) Then click TRY in the app.
5.) Scroll down to and select LTE APN Setting.
6.) Select APN2 LTE INTERNET
7.) Go to and select APN TYPE
8.) Add ",dun" at the end of "default,mms"
It'll look like default,mms,dun
9.) Select OK
10.) Select the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner and select SAVE
11.) Select APN2 EHRPD INTERNET and do the same as APN2 LTE INTERNET
Thats it!!

FOR VERIZON (POSSIBLY)
1.) Open the app and do a search for LTE.
2.) The last option to come up should be com.test.LTEFunctionality.
3.) Expand that, and select on the LTE test underneath of it.
4.) Then click TRY in the app.
5.) Scroll down to and select LTE APN Setting.
6.) Select APN2 LTE INTERNET
7.) Go to and select APN TYPE
8.) Add ",dun" at the end of "default,mms"
It'll look like default,mms,dun
9.) Select OK
10.) Select the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner and select SAVE
11.) Select APN2 EHRPD INTERNET and do the same as APN2 LTE INTERNET

FOR AT&T, T-MOBILE, METRO PCS
DIALER METHOD:
1.) Go to your dialer and dial ##3282##
2.) it will take you 2 a hidden menu that will allow you to edit settings which were locked by your carrier including APN.
3.) Follow #7 and down from the top tutorial.
ROOTED PHONES:
4.) Make changes in both lines
5.) The 2 bottom lines (APN2LTE internet) and (APN2 EHRPD internet) you will see (default,mms), add ,dun.

2.) Open sqlite editor, select files. Then go to the following folders:
/data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/telephony.db/
3.) Select carriers. 4.) Make changes in both lines
5.) The 2 bottom lines (APN2LTE internet) and (APN2 EHRPD internet) you will see (default,mms), add ,dun.

6.) Reboot, then that's it.
ALTERNATIVE METHOD:
Using PDAnet+ may allow you to use the hotspot. This depends on your device, carrier provision check method, and Android firmware.
But give it a try. The newer PDAnet+ can may be able to bypass the carrier's provision check.
